THE OVERALL QUALITY OF YOUR CARD IS DEPENDANT ON THE QUALITY OF THE PHOTO YOU USE
Be sure to review the tips below when submitting your photos.
1) USE CLEAR PHOTOS
The overall quality of your card is dependant on the photo you use. It is very important to use clear, original and unedited photos.
2) SHOOT IN HIGH RESOLUTION
Be sure to check your camera settings before you shoot your photo. If you do not know much about photography, select the highest resolution and largest file your camera will support. Be sure to use optimal lighting and watch out for motion and using too much zoom.
3) USE A LARGE ORIGINAL IMAGE
Make sure your image is large, at least 300dpi / 10MB. Do not re-touch or crop the photo yourself or re-save to a smaller or larger file size.
4) DO NOT SUBMIT TO SNAPFISH FIRST
Do not submit your photo after it has been uploaded to an online photo service (i.e. Shutterfly, Kodak Gallery, Snapfish, etc.). These websites store the original, high resolution photo on their servers to use for printing but only show a low resolution version on the web. This is fine when viewing on a computer, but it will result in a poor quality print if you submit it to Preppyandpink Designs.
5) COLORS VARY
Every computer monitor will show colors differently. What you view through your monitor many not be exactly what we view. When cards print out, they will be a bit darker than what is seen through your monitor.
6) POOR QUALITY WILL BE OBVIOUS
All cards are printed flat on premium card stock, not photo paper, on commercial printing presses. These printers pick up every dot on a photo which will result in poor quality prints if you use a dark, grainy or blurry photo.
7) PREPPYANDPINK WILL DO MINOR TOUCH-UPS
We will use Photoshop to do minor touch-ups to your photo such as removing red-eye and cropping when necessary. Converting to Black & White can be done for no additional charge. We are not photography experts and will not attempt to improve the quality of your photo.
8 ) WE WILL NOT ACCEPT PROFESSIONAL PICTURES WITHOUT A RELEASE
We will not accept any professional pictures without a copyright release from the photographer.
We will tell you if your photo does not meet the above requirements. If you choose to proceed with the card anyway, preppyandpink designs will not be responsible if you are unhappy with the final print. We’ll do my best to answer any questions you have. Just email us at amanda@preppyandpink.com
Thank you and we look forward to working with you!
